The M-SAFE aluminium railing with fixing on dry sheet metal roofing allows the adaptation of inaccessible metal terraces for public use. It is fixed directly onto the sheet metal with a minimum thickness of 40/100, thus avoiding any cutting or repair of the waterproofing. It adapts to corrugations between 100 and 500 mm in any direction of the sheet.
The M-SAFE freestanding guardrail is the solution to comply with technical roofing regulations when fixing is impossible. It avoids any drilling intervention. According to the BS 13700:2021 (UK – permanent safety systems on roofs) standard, the freestanding guardrail is not suitable for new construction, renovation and waterproofing work, or when mechanical fixing is possible. The freestanding system can be installed on terraces with a maximum slope of 15º (or 10º parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handrail).
