MM Aluminium railing with fixing on dry sheet metal roofing

The M-SAFE aluminium railing with fixing on dry sheet metal roofing allows the adaptation of inaccessible metal terraces for public use. It is fixed directly onto the sheet metal with a minimum thickness of 40/100, thus avoiding any cutting or repair of the waterproofing. It adapts to corrugations between 100 and 500 mm in any direction of the sheet.

The M-SAFE railing is easy to install:

Handrail fixing system, using a plastic cap

Hole in the uprights for fixing the intermediate tubes

Handrails and intermediate tubes delivered in packs of 7 and 5 units, assembly using reduced ends

Bases

NEW: The inclination of the railing is ensured by the base, available in straight or 25° inclined versions

Unique design on the market = The base adapts to corrugated sheets up to 500 mm and can be installed in both directions on the sheet.

Fixing

Fixing to the sheet with 5 Drilinox DBS2 screws with waterproof washers and chimney washers.

The Drillnox DBS2 6×2’7 screw expels material inwards, forming a burr, which increases the implantation length.

The threading torque is high even on thin materials (> 5 N.m compared to an average of 1.5 N.m for standard self-drilling screws).

Toe-board option

  • In case of a parapet < 100 mm, a toe board must be provided.
    • Aluminum toe board H 180 mm
    • Toe board support for BE base
    • Toe board joint fixation: 2 M8×10 mm stud screws
    • Toe board angle fixation: 2 M8×10 mm stud screws

Instalation (See instructions)

  • Distance between uprights: 1500 mm max
  • Maximum roof slope: 15°
  • Self-drilling screw 4.8×32 mm hexagonal head:
    • -Fixing the intermediate tube to the upright
    • -Fixing accessories (angle, cap, end cap) to the handrail and intermediate tube
    • -Fixing the reduced ends of the handrail and intermediate tube
  • CHC screw 8×45 (pre-assembled):
    • -Screwing the base to the upright
