MZ Guardrail under covering fixture with Z-shaped base

The M-SAFE guardrail under covering fixture with Z-shaped base allows the conformity of terraces inaccessible to the public in the case of a parapet with a wall cover with or without insulation. It is fixed to the top of the parapet and thus preserves the watertightness of the complex.

The M-SAFE guardrail under covering fixture with z-shaped base is easy to assemble:

  • Handrail fixing system, by means of a plastic cap.
  • Hole in the uprights for fixing the knee-rail.
  • Handrail and knee-rails delivered in packs of 7 and 5 units, assembly by means of reduced ends.

Bases

The Z-shaped base is available in a straight version or inclined at 25° (pre-assembled in the factory).

PRACTICAL : Thanks to its design, change from the straight to the inclined version directly on site. Remove the upper screw from the base, tilt it forward (for the inclined version) or backward (for the straight version) and screw everything back together.

A z-shaped base for all configurations:

  • Z-shaped base: an economical base ideal for uninsulated parapets.
  • Z0-shaped base: quipped with a sliding system, it adapts to an insulated parapet up to 15 mm.
  • Z100-shaped base: equipped with a sliding system, it adapts to an insulated parapet up to 100 mm.
  • Z160-shaped base: equipped with a sliding system, it adapts to an insulated parapet up to 160 mm.

Fixing on steel parapet (Z0, Z100 and Z160-shaped bases):

With 6 self-drilling screws, subject to a prior study carried out by our technical office to determine the stresses and the feasibility depending on the support, as well as the validation of the screw supplier.

Installation (See instructions)

  • Distance between uprights: 1500 mm.
  • Minimum height of the parapet 100 mm for straight z, 140 mm for the inclined version.
  • Self-drilling screw Ø4.8 x32 mm hexagonal head:
    • -Fixing the knee-rail to the upright.
    • -Fixing the accessories (angle, cap, end plug) to the handrail and knee-rail.
    • -Fixing the reduced ends to the handrail and knee-rail.
  • M8 x 35 mm socket screw (x2):
    • -Screwing the base to the upright.
